Hello all:
What is the going fair price on a Pre 64 M70 264 Fwt in 99% condition??
The gun is about as mint as I have seen of any pre 64.
Thank you, Jeff

For all it's worth, I just picked up my second last month. Mine sounds in the range of the one your referring too, and it was had for 2,200. Picked up my first, about 95% condition, on GB couple years back for 1,900...

I want one so bad I can taste it BUT I want a war horse to rebarrel, Guys in real life you need 26" of barrel to take any kind of advantage of .264 winmag. The good news is if you hand load there may be powders out there that will burn in this fwt barrel! Late one evening for sh#ts and giggles I shot a fwt .264 using an old yellow box Super X 100 gr bullet load. I really wish someone had taken a video of my one and only shot! Being younger and dumb I had no ear protection, I am already deaf from shotguns and aircraft, turbine engines. Bang is not the word that bitch shot fire a good easy 2 feet out of the barrel! The gun was dead nuts accurate on that one shot but I handed it right back to the owner! LMAZZO very best WinchesterPoor

I just bought a FWT 06 in 98% condition for $1000. I think reality is more in the line of $1500-1800 depending on caliber. I have seen them on GB and Guns America in this range. I have a 264 FWT and it's about useless with that short barrel. I shot one deer with it early in the am and it was 10 min before my eyes adjusted back to normal from the muzzle flash.I bought a sdt with the 26 inch bbl a much more useful rifle.

RAS,
I got lucky and picked one up locally a couple of years ago for $1750. I think if you can get one that nice for under $2K you would have no regrets, but if you are looking for a shooter, the barrel length is a consideration.
