We don't watch per se.... just walked in after work and turned TV on... came back from spraying weeds... I guess its the channel we had on last night...

Does that old dude from Alaska EVER button his phuggin shirt? Why even wear it?

I only watch tv when I'm traveling for work. I find the reality of living in Alaska much preferable to watching a tv "reality" of same.

Does this count as vicarious TV watching? I have no idea what you guys are talking about, and somehow you're not creating much enthusiasm for finding out. grin

Thanks for reminding me to be grateful that I can't get cable!

Im' thankful for Sat TV when we have time to watch it. The regular stations are almost always full of junk.

At least with Sat, we can find brain games, history stuff etc... or at least Carolyn can watch tennis 24/7 ....

But there is almost as much junk on Sat TV as there is normal...

The sad part is some of these shows could be REALLY good IMHO, if they did away with the drama part. Things I could really get into and watch.

Alas it says a lot for our lost society that not enough would watch wihtout the fake soap opera drama, and thats a shame..

To get a season's worth of drama in real life, the cameras would have to follow a real bush person around for 5-10 years. Or me for 3-5......

Quick- someone notify the cameras that I'm going to my remote cabin this summer for several weeks to make some much needed repairs. They could likely get several episodes without any phony scripting.... smile

That reminds me - I have to check on getting a camera over spring break - the iPhone just doesn't cut it.

I'd be happy with every day life... but then most folks think we are weird anyway...

Drama is for a stage or soap opera.

Now if that ol [bleep] would just button his damn shirt.... puke...

Watching a guy cutting firewood, or butchering, or driving a boat or vehicle, or pissing off the deck ain't all that exciting smile Really. I mean the guy on camera is having all the fun, not the viewers.

waiting for it to warm up a mite to head to our cabin

I live ultimate AK survival every day of the week

if she's smiling my survival looks pretty fair

if I get the look, we're only a wrong word or two from an Indian on the war path

and since her grandma shot white men for sport.......

well I walk the line

Almost as bad as The Eastman's Outdoors hunting show. "Join us again next week when we'll illustrate part II of the gutless butchering method."

Fugg.....here I am with one elk leg up in the air, what am I supposed to do?

Bunch of dumbschitts, all of them.

I have too Marlin, I was being facetious! Those reality shows are all ridiculous, and many of the outdoor shows aren't far behind!

And a fine line it is. And my wife is only an eighth... Klick daily walks in fear..... smile

My boss the first 4 years in Kotz, until she retired, was a 5'2" Eskimo. Really nice lady. Go the distance for you. Maybe even more. But...One DID NOT cross her.. It was pretty impressive (in observation- I was careful!) how tall 5'2" can get...as needed.

They make good comedies. But they do make the Alaskan people look stupid. I know they are just paid actors.
