An upland gun is carried - a lot! So a main consideration is light weight (for you, whatever that would be). Secondly, it has to fit, because that gun will be mounted quickly so it better be lined up instantly.

I bought my two franchis for three reasons: light as a feather making nice long walks in the woods more enjoyable, fit me perfectly and I usually knock down most flying objects I'm shooting at.
