Ready, you are so right! the old WM's are in a different world from the current arm with that model number. I bought my first one in the early 80's even though I wasn't a shotgunner, I just loved the quality. you couldn't give me a current manufacture.

I very, very seldom see them in that condition. Free bump!

Very nice shotgun. I love the older ones. Mine is just like that, but a lefty and made in '79. Bump for a great guy..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Good morning, Is the wingmaster still available? If so at what price. It's a little hard to tell from the pictures but are the blemishes on the receiver deep into the metal? Is the bore shiny and smooth? Thank You, Mark

One spot on the receiver is smooth, the other can be felt if you rub your fingernail across it.

I learned from experience because people can go to Wal-mart and buy an express plastic gun for $275 you can't give away a Wingmaster even though they ooze quality and are super slick.
So good luck, but don't get your feelings hurt if it doesn't move.
It's a beauty though.

Is that a '79? Modified choke? Fixed or removable? Run any steel shot through it?
Nice looking gun.

It hasn't moved because people think they need choke tubes and 3" or 3 1/2" shells to kill stuff. I've killed thousands of pheasants, ducks, geese, squirrels, rabbits, and anything else that can be killed with a shotgun using 2 3/4" shells. This is a sweet piece of machinery. I have choke tubes in my Citori. They never change. Modified over full. Don't use that second tube very often...

Only shotguns I've ever owned take 2 3/4" shells.

Beautiful. I have one from the mid-70's or I'd buy this one. Gloss blue and gloss stock/forend is something that's just not done any more.
