OP Fireball2 Campfire Kahuna Joined: May 2011 Posts: 56,244 Oregon	This one is rare enough I thought the single shot guys oughta see it. I found this at a gunshow in Oregon this weekend. This rifle had lots of interest from the dealers setting up before the show even opened but I was the one that chased the seller down as he walked around waiting for the doors to open. It's a Westernfield branded Mossberg Model L takedown made between 1929 and 1932. Not sure of production numbers but have read 3000-5000. Thought you might enjoy seeing it. He even suggested that with a little updating, it would make a fine target gun. The take-down feature is designed to automatically adjust for wear and the extractor-ejector is described as two-speed. You can probably figure that out when you shoot it. Manufacture dates are listed as 1929-1932. Last edited by Pappy348; 03/25/15. What fresh Hell is this?

With that type action, you should have no trouble making barrels in 17 and 22mag. Love the wood and that exposed hammer, really appeals to me. If you don't like Robert E. Lee, you won't like it on this ranch. JGM
