It will be great seeing you again Pablo! Clearly I may have to dust off a secret weapon for the PD shoot. Perhaps one that makes range irrelevant  For the kiddos, I'll throw out that the .300 Blackout AR is very mild to shoot, especially with subsonic loads, and has an adjustable stock. So that's available, if those supervising the kids think it would work. I'll need to roll up a batch of subsonic loads for it, but that's no big deal.

Guess I'll have to go to the range. Min. of Deer will not work. It will if you're accustomed to shooting East Texas deer which range from chipmunk size to medium German Shepherd size.  Ed

Ed, how strict is the .22LR shoot at 100? Any RF or just .22LR? .17's?
Now I am confused, are we putting a 22LR at 100yds and shooting at it? or shooting at something with a 22LR from 100yds aways I have a very nice air rifle that is 0.177, compressed air provides propulsion from the center of the cup, does that make it a Centerfire? should it be allowed?

.22 LONG RIFLE Rimfire ONLY.  If you want a side contest for .17's, we can accommodate that. How about ping-pong balls at 150 yards? The ping pong balls would be hung from a string, subject to the wind, coriolis effect, and bad marksmanship. Ed

Pablo, you have to forgive Dave. He's been sniffing crude oil fumes too long. No, your air rifle does not qualify as a "centerfire" as you have to stand off to one side of the stock to fire it. So, what you have is a "stand-off fire". If the PRIMER (oops, it doesn't have one, does it?  ) were in the center, such as with a 155mm Howitzer, you would have a true "centerfire". Got it? Ed

WOW - sounds like big fun again this year - wish I could be there for all of this shooting of such esoteric stuff. Probably would just bring a simple 95 Hi-Wall. Would it even qualify for any of this CF stuff?

A ping pong ball staked in the ground with a 16 penny nail at 150 yards would be more than safe with the .17 I have.

I have a Handi-Rifle in 17HMR that is capable of keeping them inside a ping pong ball at 150 yards, that's why I came up with those specs. Ed And no, a .458 SOCOM would not be MY idea of a DGR.
