I have a marlin xlr chambered in .450 marlin. It shoots the factory 325 leverevolution ammo real well. Has anyone loaded the hornady 325 bullet? Were you able to match factory velocities and if so what was your load?

I avoided that bullet because of the need to trim the brass to meet the bullet cannelure.

I've shot the factory 325 load for years so I have lots of the shorter brass. I haven't loaded any yet due to lack of powder. I've had AA 1680 on backorder for about a year now. I was wondering if anyone has gotten good results with any other powders?

I load them in 45-70 with 50g of H4198. 2020fps from the 18 inch barrel.

Very very accurate. Devastating pig load.

Didn't trim the brass short. I just crimped with the Lee FCD.
