Hillary Clinton wiped “clean” the private server housing emails from her tenure as secretary of state, the chairman of the House committee investigating the 2012 terrorist attacks in Benghazi said Friday.
“While it is not clear precisely when Secretary Clinton decided to permanently delete all emails from her server, it appears she made the decision after October 28, 2014, when the Department of State for the first time asked the Secretary to return her public record to the Department,” Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), chairman of the Select Committee on Benghazi, said in a statement.

Clinton was under a subpoena order from the panel for all documents related to the 2012 attacks on the American compound there. But David Kendall, an attorney for Clinton, said the 900 pages of emails previously provided to the panel cover its request.
Kendall also informed the committee that Clinton’s emails from her time at the State Department have been permanently erased.

One of my old friends who is big in Eastern Democratic politics says that one reason she has not declared her candidacy is that until she does, there is no obligation to disclose her medical records.

One can speculate what that means.

Yes, it makes things more difficult, but likely every e-mail sent or received passed through other machines.

No one expects Washington folks to have scrupples anymore, so it'll just be water off a ducks back.

Its a pretty good bet that problems associated with erasing the e-mails is less than the problems of them becoming known.She is choosing her battles.

It took at least 5 minutes review * 60,000 emails = 5,000 hours or 2.5 man years to review find her "personal" emails. She did this in 3 weeks so it took 5,000 hours / 120 hours = 41 people. Let the house subpoena her and have her give them their names. Then subpoena them to testify about the emails they reviewed.

They should throw her in the House jail for a couple of years if she refused or commits perjury. She would have a hard time running for office from inside a jail cell.

There are a few judges who could do the same because she failed to provide her emails in response to subpoenas.

And her supporters...will still vote for her.

I would love to see her in jail. She deserves worse. Let's hope she says something against Islam in one of those retrievable emails...perhaps then, justice will be done.
