Fleet Farm. They have a plastic one with a soft center for the butt and back. I like the camo ones. They're likd $40/ea. They also fold down.

I have also bought them for a few deer stands. shocked

so, if your going to put flotation under the floor, but your not going to attach the floor to the hull, wont the floor just float away, as your boat sinks?

I reckon it would give you something to hold onto smile

all the foam from the seats was hollowed out so they could make "storage" compartments.........

It's mostly for sound dampening. My floor is aluminum and is riveted to the ribs. It would be louder than all get out without the foam. Got foam in the back and front decks too. Boat might swamp, but it shouldn't go under. Not going to test it however. wink

I think your missing the point, there chief.
the foam is there to keep the boat afloat,or at least not to sink to the bottom.
my old 1975 18' crestliner voyager has all the bench seats except the front one filled with foam from the factory.I have refabricated several old boats, and always try to keep flotation somewhere.
wish I had taken pics of some of the other boats Ive had,Ive redone 4-5 in the past, anywhere from a wire brushing, had a few that had been damamged, needed a few dozen rivets and patches.this one just got the seats covered in astroturf. heres a few pics of a carp spearing expedition.

My 14W Lund was converted to a console steer before I bought it, and appeared to have been done professionally. They bridged the front bench seat with a casting platform, tieing it into the little V shaped board mounted up in the bow. It's a nice set up as it gives you a lot of storage under the platform to get rid of all the stuff you don't frequently need like raingear, ropes, bumpers, a little drybox, etc. They put in a carpeted floor which is much nicer to walk on and much more quiet. The floor sections were removable, which is nice for getting under there to clean and maintain the hull. The console was tied into the stern side of the middle bench seat. It wouldn't have worked well for a guy with long legs, but I didn't have that problem. It was a very nice setup and well put toether. If your floor sections fit in snugly, I can't imagine that you'll ever have any trouble with them floating fee if you insulate under them. Good luck with your build.

I'm hoping thats what someone wants it for. I'm gonna find me a lil 15 horse so a kicker really isn't needed, for me anyway.
