Spring is in the air here, so I took Cookie out for a drive toward our office this AM. A gray day, but she had to make do. These are samples of what we pass through on the way to and from work. Don't look up with ones mouth open.
We have about a dozen million snow geese around.
About 1 out of 5000 is a blue phase snow goose. Those with the smaller bills and bodies are Ross's geese.
A blue phase Ross at about the same frequency as snows.
Here's some gliding in with the gear down
and touchdown.
Some lesser sandhills too.
And if one could just find some 22LR's, lots of Beldings ground squirrels
