No trial. The other Boston cops gunned the MFer down like the dog he is (was) after he shot their partner in the face at point blank during a routine traffic stop. Oh I agree! No trial is best for officers. Too bad the real perps in this incident didn't pull a gun on Sgt. I understand elkhunter is embarrassed by the many deeds police do(such as Sgt. Guzman) and telling us about his day is just the way he expresses his shame over those incidents instead of being proud.

Any updates on the Officer condition? He's in a medically induced coma in critical condition, but still alive as of now. Will be heading into surgery tomorrow, according to a news report I heard on the way into town just now. Bullet is still lodged in his head behind an ear. No idea what kind of slug he got hit with, but it was a .357 mag round out of a wheelgun. He emptied same at the other cops as he attempted to flee, but no other hits were made by him. A total of 6 gang unit cops were on scene making the original stop, and of the 5 still capable of doing so, at least three opened up with their sidearms and killed him then and there. The specific area of the shootings is a very tough neighborhood (Humboltd Ave @ Ruthven in Roxbury), and has been for a long, long time; thus the gang unit presence. I hope that Officer Moynihan pulls through. It's a thankless and difficult job, working the mean streets in these kinds of neighborhoods, and these guys often really do earn their pay. They sure did that day.
