OP battue Campfire Ranger B Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 20,807 outside the burgh	Finally got the chance to shoot the new MRC XWR .338Federal that I got from Shortactionsmoker. It is the old style with the bedding block. Had some old 2 year old reloads from when I had a Kimber in .338Fed so gave them a go. Wind up and moving off and on at around 10mph. Shot over rear bunny ears and a rolled up sleeping bag on the front. First at 100yards: 5 went into 1 1/16 and 4 of 5 went into around .75 Second at 200yards. (shots 10-14) 5 went into 1 9/16 and 4 out of 5 into .75 Sure some of the better shooters could beat me, but it looks like those of you in on the group buy should be getting some shooters and I think I'm going to like this one. The Kimber shot ok, but recoil was a little more than I liked. This one is tame in comparison. Last edited by battue; 03/27/15. laissez les bons temps rouler

The MRC may well be the most rifle for the $ you can get. I am definitely a fan. FYI -- I ordered that rifle for myself, but kept holding tight to my Ruger. It couldn't have ended up in better hands! I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!

Longest wait would be the walk out and back to the 200 yard backers. Temps where around 34F. Last edited by battue; 03/27/15. laissez les bons temps rouler

USA	I have one of their stainless rifles in .350 RM and with the extra velocity one can get with the longer magazine box the extra weight is welcome... In the Civic Center was a Tobacco shop that had that exact Indian at the door. I loved that thing! Very cool you have one. Eat Fish, Wear Grundens, Drink Alaskan.
