I am into 'pawn shop rescue guns' and this is not one of them. A Doctor friend is thinning his gun herd and I happened to get first dibs. It's much prettier than the fixer-uppers that usually follow me home: Remington Model 11's, Stevens 621, Savage 755A, Flight Kings, etc.

My little camera and photo skills don't do it justice. It was made in 1959 and is in excellent condition. It has a full choke and a mid bead. Shot some clay targets with it today and it worked nice. Certainly has an 'all steel' feel to it. The choke is tight for the shooting I do but I don't think I want to alter anything.

Is the vent rib a round post?? You certainly don't see many Win M-50's in trap or in such great condition. Keep the floating chamber clean....I have a two M-50's over the years.

The M-50 led to the eventual great Super X model 1.

No, it does not have the round/donut type vent rib posts. It does not have a recoil pad either and it shoots 'flat' with the lower comb buttstock configuration that it has. I did shoot a round of trap with it and it seems to run more like a field gun as far as percentage of pattern above the bead.

looks like the round post rib, just not the dounut post...If the price is right get it....you can always pick up a more open choked barrel for field use....nice looking gun...
