Forgive my salt water ignorance,
What is the long thin fish near the "ceviche!!!" comment

That's a Spanish mackerel, if I'm not mistaken. The Mexicans out west often call them sierra, for Sierra mackerel.

I love that place. Failed miserably at Roosters on fly from the beach. Had a ball though. Caught one tiny Rooster and a Trumpetfish . Stayed at Rancho Leonero and thought it was great.

There's a resort in Cabo you can fish for roosters right out back from the beach. IIRC, it's called Playa Grande. Only reason I know that is because that's where my guide took me. Right around the corner from Los Arcos.

I spent every afternoon chasing roosters on a beach in La Ribera with my 10 wt
I hooked two and both managed to spool me. They were big fish!

That is a nice resort I just rented an apartment in Los Barriles and had a rental car. I drove up to La Ventana a remote area north of LB about 40 miles on a dirt road. Really cool area with miles of fishable beaches
