Looks great. Good luck deciding which checkering pattern to use.

I saw a std grade 06 on Guns International for I believe $750-800. It had a pad and was missing the elevator for the rear sight other than that a nice shooter for the money. It might have been listed by Perry County but I can't say for sure. IMHO if your looking for a pre64 it's worth a look.

BSA, nice group of rifles, just need a swift or hornet.

That 270 looks pretty sharp.

Nothing like a Hornet in a Pre-64 action....

I have a trophy grade Woodchuck living under my shed and it drives my Short hair Daisy crazy. He might make a good target for the 22 Hornet carbine. Just close enough for me to be able to use that Lyman rear sight.

That's funny, but why not use your 375 H&H? laugh

BSA's right. You don't want to be "that guy" that showed up with not enough gun!

Oh Hell I'll just pull out the 416 Taylor. I can sneak that carbine out the slider glass door a lot easier though:)

Me too......

While not best quality by their standard it's still better than most we see....

Nice magazine sporting rifle finished up at 2-5 Old Bond Street...

I haven't seen the Woodchuck since being properly armed and ready. Just added a nice 270 FWT to the family.

Thanks BSA. I have one but in my foolish youth I restocked it but in my defense someone had free floated the barrel with what looked like a chain saw. I have been looking on and off for a nice clean original from the 50's, saw this and jumped on it.

eek

I really need something like this don't I??

laugh blush Then I'd have 3 pre 64 model 70's made in '56. Seems fitting since both my parents were born in '56... wink

Ok I have definitely failed the 12 step program...again....I now need either a rear sight for a FWT or a blank to fill in the space from the sight and a front sight hood. Anybody have these parts or can point me in the right direction?

If a guy wants to fine tune his pre 64 M70 herd, just buy 3 270's and a 375H&H.
