Yea, another guy looking for a free appraisal!
I have a line on an older S&W Model 41 with a 7 3/8" barrel. One magazine, paper work, cleaning rod, barrel weights and original box. Box is in decent shape and gun appears to be in excellent condition. Serial number is 299xx.
Any input is appreciated.

Around $1,200 if you find a target shooter who wants one.
Anything less than that is a really good buy for what you have described.

Can't give you an exact date of manufacture but from The Book I am going to guess early to mid-1960s. I don't look at 41s much but from the little I have seen prices have been going out of sight these last few years. Guns that were selling in the $600s are now in the $900. Being a 60s vintage gun it will bring a premium.... This is a late 60s..with box... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=462935078Do some searching over on the GunBroker completed auctions...my guess is if you can get it for less than a grand it would be a great investment you can enjoy shooting... Your in the middle of Bulls eye country. Should be be local shooters that can help you with the value. You can also check Rimfire central in the S&W section. Hasbeen

In my parts it would be $1200 as a minimum and could go for $1500. The early ones with box and papers will bring the money.

$1200.00 for a nice, older 41 is an OK price. S&W 41s are one of the great American pistolas. Bob

I bought mine new in 1970.It is 7 3/8" barrel with the ported muzzle brake. I used it for a few years in a pistol league I shot in. Since then it has only been out of the safe to be cleaned and shot a few times a year. I still have the original sales receipt, box, tools, and all the paperwork that came with it. I paid $172.00 for it. Should have bought a dozen of them.
