Looks like Ingwe and I were up to the same shenanigans today.

This one thought about running back down the hole but he didn't have the guts.

I killed 19 today. This is a foot hunting deal shooting off of stix so a dozen+/- is an average day.

Oh,,, BTW Ingwe,,, I missed three (I counted my shells). I was on fire. laugh

I shoot one place that has both Columbian and Richardsons, though the Columbians are rare I got one last week.
I did most of my shooting off stix too, with less walking I'll bet. grin
Shot 400 rounds...I think I missed five whistle

Maybe a couple more.... wink

My shooting area's about 35mi from my place.
I'd go back home and get it if I forgot that stool.

Sometimes I even add one of those pads that hang from your belt...... Heaven. grin

I was out for about five hrs. but only half of it is spent walking. The rest of the time is setting and waiting for em to pop up.

Last year was slow so I was glad to see the numbers today.

A beautiful spring day,,, saw five flocks of Turkey on the drive up. Gobblers were strutting their stuff.
I didn't have the heart to stop and tell em the early youth hunt starts tomorrow.

BTW,,, as much as I hate the word "awesome" I gotta agree with you. Retirement's AWSOME!!

Yep, the ground is a lot harder now than it was 20yrs ago!

A couple years ago I bought a "goobler lounger" on sale at cabelas. It has a back and works perfect for shooting off of sticks or a tall bipod. A person could even take a nap in it, not that I ever have whistle

Good shooting! We have the Piute ground squirrels here (Whistle Pigs).

Three of us went out today with rimfires and probably shot 100 of them. I won't quote the hit ratio, but the fun meter was off the charts!

76, Are you sure??? I never spent much time in the Laramie range.. I know there are rockchucks there.. The Columbian is one I have shot in Montana, but never saw in Wy. You could certainly be correct..
