I have a Koplin Rhino Rib soft rifle case that I got from Cabela's a few years back. I also got the shotgun model at the same time as they were on sale. It has a hard cap to protect the muzzle and stiff plastic along the bottom and middle to protect the scope/sights. I like them a lot but when I searched for them on the net I couldn't find them. My hunting buddy and I put our rifles in the back seat of the truck. They lay more or less flat in the seat. All I have to do to get my rifle us unzip the case a foot or two.
My hunting buddy has to dig his hard case out and get it on top of the pile before he can open it. Most annoying to say the least. After years of cursing that case I finally told him to bring a soft case or stay home.
