Has anyone worked up loads with this powder. My rifle is throated for 168's. The Hodgon data is beyond slow.

My Ruger 77 with 168s likes 69-69.5 grains of H1000. My longer throated 7mm likes them with 71 grains of H1000.
Having good luck with 67 grains of H1000 with the 180 scenars too. Seems to be an excellent powder for this weight class in the 7. All those with WLR primers.

lefty I'm have not used H-1000 in a 7 rem mag, but I do use H-1000 in my 270 win 140 TSX, 300 win 180 grain and 338 Laupa with 300 grain SMK's. I love H-1000 even the 270 gets some impressive velocities with H-1000.
I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

For reasons already beat to death multiple times on the Fire, the 7RM is loaded at lower pressure than .270, 7 Wby, etc. If one takes it up to 60K or better, bullets move a lot faster. I don't mind going over SAAMI with my gun. It's a MkV, a very strong action and wears a new SS Brux. So, rough throats, and other technical reasons for bullet and powder company test barrels to show wider than usual pressure swings, shouldn't be an issue for me. I keep an eye on my barrels with a Hawkeye borescope and when a barrel starts looking like that, it gets swapped before trouble happens. But, when you branch out on your own and exceed SAAMI, you do so at your own risk. The companies have already covered their posteriors... DF

In a previous 7 RM, I used 70.0 H1000 under a 160 Nos PT. I got 3050-3075 in a 26" barrel. I like it.

I went up to 73 grains and only got 3011fps and poor 2"+ accuracy in my 26" barrel so it is worth testing just to learn. John

I like 71.5g Retumbo much better, or should I say, my 7RM's do.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.
