i finally got around to watching the current week's episode of ncis.
Plot was about a korean(?) male navy commander with an adopted white baby that gets stolen, married to a black guy that must be bisexual cause he is cheating on the commander with a chinese spy.
They are all going around like it's perfectly normal.
Times are changin.
and of course the guy that stole the baby was a redneck.

Yet another reason to quit watching television.

All I can do is shake my head and mourn living too long.

Majority of shows have a token homo or biracial couple.

Then there's the overweight black woman who's always smarter than a handful of white chicks...

I've been a fan of NCIS since season 1 (still miss Kate), so while in a hotel last week I thought I'd check out the New Orleans version. Not only was I pissed at the not so subtle social message, I wasn't impressed with the talent either.

On a different note, I don't have "TV" at home, so I buy DVD box sets after the seasons are over. I tried The Blacklist on a whim and really liked it. I wasn't a James Spader fan before now, but his acting as a semi-old guy is worth watching IMO. Now the wait for season two........

Watched a Gene Autry movie (again) with kids I recorded off western channel. I'm big Autry fan. Gene Recided Lords Prayer with a little girl in the movie. I thought WOW! Won't see that in a movie these days.

It's well beyond the "token" stage. I'm no homophob, but it is ridiculous what they are doing with TV shows these days. I liked the NO version of NCIS.....until last week.

well thats kind of the problem i didn't know it was going to be that.
we got into the regular ncis as an offshoot of JAG.
I have decided that i really don't like the n.o. version.
i can't stand that opening boom boom boom.
they talk funney, and the the female is kind of butch.
this week did it for me.

I actually was on bourbon street one time with my wife, one time.
the day i tried an oyster and upchucked it into the next table.
And i was snickering at a couple of [bleep] having a argument.
And the highlight was getting a couple of six pacs of ajax beer.
And never going back.

OK - good stuff - not worried.

No doubt! Seems like they are trying to gay up every damn show on TV, nowadays.

FINALLY, A DEFINITION OF THE TERM "POLITICAL CORRECTNESS!"

For the last six odd years, almost all of the things I wanted to write or say, have been stymied by a recently coined term referred to as "POLITICAL CORRECTNESS"! Although I consider myself rather fluent in the English language, that term was not in my vocabulary. My curiosity got the best of me and I decided to do a little research and after two weeks of chasing fruitless leads, I found what I'd been looking for at the Truman Library and Museum in Independence Missouri. A unnamed source there sent me copies of four telegrams that were between Harry Truman and Douglas MacArthur on the day before the actual signing of the Surrender Agreement. The contents of those four telegrams below are exactly as received, not a word has been added or deleted!

To: President Harry S Truman

Tomorrow we meet with those yellow bellied bastards and sign the Surrender Documents, any last minute instructions!

Congratulations, job well done, but you must tone down your obvious dislike of the Japanese when discussing the terms of the surrender with the press, because some of your remarks are fundamentally not politically correct!

I don't know about the telegrams between Ike and Truman ...... but the terms "politically correct" or "politically incorrect" came directly from Lenin and Stalin. They were used constantly during the communist show trials to indict, find guilty, and condemn hundreds of thousands of "counter revolutionaries."

They were then either stood up against a wall and shot in the back of the head, or they were sent to the gulags in Siberia where most of them died.

"Politically correct" is from the communists.

I DO know what bullshit smells like, and do not see the Truman / MacArthur/ Nimitz yarn of having one factual grain of truth.

Blue Bloods is my favorite current TV show. The plots are fresh every week, but the family consistently sits down every Sunday to eat as a family---------after saying grace. Duck Dynasty does the same thing.

Other than these two shows, there's nothing but a constant onslaught on the traditional family and Christianity.
