I know it is Tax day and we all realize how much we have paid out this year. Never a fun day. But on the bright side, there are two more weeks of rebates on some select Tamron lenses.

Tamron 16-300mm Di-II VC PZD Macro lens - $30

Tamron 18-270mm Di-II VC PZD lens - $50

Tamron SP 24-70mm f2.8 Di VC USD lens - $100

Tamron SP 70-300mm Di VC USD lens - $50

Tamron SP 70-200mm f2.8 Di VC USD lens - $100

Tamron SP 90mm f2.8 Di VC USD Macro lens - $50

When you call Mark or Joel at Camera Land, make sure you let them know you are a member of the Campfire. Often they have deals that they don’t advertise and pricing that is lower than you see on their website for different items. They offer special deals for Campfire folks, make sure you tell them you are a member!

Here are a few images from a recent trip to St. Louis. I went to the Arch on the one night that week it wasn’t storming! There was a lot of renovations going on around it so I had to shoot without a lot around it. I shot both of these using the Tamron SP 24-70mm f2.8 Di VC USD lens on a Nikon D-800.

Great photography is not about being in the right place at the right time, it is about putting yourself in the right place at the right time.

Cool images. I like my 24-70. The new 15-30 looks interesting and a worthy consideration against the Nikon 14-24. I have the Nikon 16-35, but it can get messy in the corners.

The 15-30mm is incredible. I will try and post an image of the Arch I did with it tonight when I get to my computer.

Doug,
Here is a shot of the Arch with the Tamron 15-30mm standing about 30 feet or so away. I did no perspective control on the St. Louis skyline. The detail on the buildings is incredible. 30 seconds on a D-800.

I was hanging out with a couple of the Tamron Tech Reps when I got to shoot the lens and they were telling me that the same folks that make the Circular Polarizer for the Nikon lens are making an adaptation for the Tamron as well.
