What do you guys use while target practicing to hold your gun steady? I want something rock solid so I can see what my guns can do minus human error.

I've used a range bag and a sock full of sand when testing loads at 200. I don't like mechanical rests. I think the stress stock and scopes too much.

I use the cut off legs of old blue jeans filled with sand. Use Zip ties to close the ends. DONT fill till it looks like it is full,bout 3/4 way full is all you want in there as you want the stock of the rifle to settle into the bag somewhat instead of just sitting on top of a full bag. Works just fine.

It's very hard to totally eliminate human error, even with a good front rest and rear bag. Here's what I use, right or wrong:
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style.
You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole.
