Sorry to answer a question with a question, but what's a Zastava M70?

My Ruger No.1 really likes Varget and Speer 270's, though shoots well enough with other bullets. Reloader 15 is the go to powder for many and works well for me also.

What kind of accuracy and speed are you getting with #2. Thanks buddy...

Have you tried H-4350 with the 300gr Partition?

69 grains of RL-15 and the terrific 260 grain Nosler Accubond.

.8" groups at 100 yards. 2620 fps. Modest recoil. Dead bears.

I have. Shoots good. Am only using 75 gr of H4350 with the 300's. Usually results in about 2550 fps and good accuracy. Haven't used the 300 gr Partition on game yet. I don't know why it wouldn't work...

BTW - without hesitation - I'll FREELY admit to borrowing my two "pet loads" from John Barsness.

69 grains of RL-15 and the 260 Nosler Accubond
75 grains of H4350 and pretty much whatever 300 gr bullet I choose

Both work GREAT!

My rifle likes 80gr of H4350 with a 300 grain Partition and CCI mag primers. 2550 from my 20.5 barrel. Shoots mountain goats, brown bears, moose, and lesser animals stem to stern.

My last Ruger #1 .375 liked 73 grains of RL15 and the 260 grain accubond. 3/4ths of an inch for 3 shots .. but only after I did ye olde fore-end hanger set screw trick to calm the vertical stringing.

The first load I wanted to work up for a used 700 Custom Shop version I bought used off of Gunbroker was a reduced, .35 Whelen level load for deer. I decided to use the Speer 235 semi-point and IMR 4064. The last two times I shot it, 68 grs put four shots in 0.8" and 0.9"...Fed 215 primers and Nosler "blem" cases.

I haven't chronographed it yet but I think that'll work.

This load with WW-760 gives me 2550 fps and has been my Africa recipe for 2 trips for buff and other game.

I was hoarding when hoarding wasn't cool.
