Made a score of a lifetime today in powder. Went in a local gun shop to look around at what he had in used guns. They have just got powder in and they had the Reloader powder at $16.95 a pound. I asked if this price was right and she told me yes, I asked if there was a limit and she said no. Well ok now, I walked out with 42 pounds of powder, RL15,17,19 22, didn't buy any of it that I don't use. Wish they had Varget, IMR4350, H4831 at that price too. $754.56 out the door with tax, didn't even use my tax number to raise a red flag.

You did good. Just paid $38.00 bucks for a pound of Varget in Connecticut. Reloader powder goes for around $28-$32 a pound when you can find it.

The last time I saw Reloder 17, the scalper who had it was charging 68.50$ Canadian plus the 5% GST. Nice guy.

My guess is somebody accidently marked it at wholesale cost. I haven't seen powder that cheap since the first term of Bush the Junior.

I love RL19. I have almost 12 lbs. of it. It is all I use in my 3 hi-powers, which are all I handload for. It is super in my 243, 280 & 30-06. When I can find it, it goes for $25/lb. at a place in Wichita. I prefer to buy it in 5lb bottles, but they are even harder to come by. My 3 rifles, RL19 and believe it or not, Speer bullets are a perfect match.

I saw RL15,17 at the local gun show this weekend, they were getting $28 lb. I have at least a 2 years worth at home so I passed on it.

I am jealous ! My favourite powder supplier hasn't seen any Alliant powders since 2013.

You got a great deal for sure. I bought a supply of RL 7, 15 and 17 and paid $26 per pound just 3 weeks ago.
