Cookie got word of a pair. We'll make an effort to keep track of them and maybe capture the family if they're successful.

Nice! I look forward to the progress reports complete with images no doubt!
Great photography is not about being in the right place at the right time, it is about putting yourself in the right place at the right time.

Those burrowing owls seem to exhibit such character with their head tilts. Hope you get plenty of trips to observe and photo them.

owls seem to exhibit such character with their head tilts. For sure. As I was looking through her images, I noticed several where they were looking aside and even straight up into the air. Owl chins, however, are not very interesting. Fairly obvious though that they were paying attention to all the goings on in the neighborhood. Have a good one,

They are interesting little birds, for sure, and they make good photo models, too!
