Well I put in for units 58-1 and 60-2 draw odds for NR not bad... So who else is doing what for hunts in Idaho?
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Cow hunt in 48-1. My partners and I have been hunting this for years with great success and the drawing odds are about the best in the state at 60% plus. This year they increased the tags so it should be even better.

I looked at those hunts out your way but my good friend lives in Rigby so picked units close to his area... Now I'm trying to decide on deer..

I'll probably go 45 bull elk and 44 buck deer. Both fairly close to home. Antelope? Maybe 39.
Maybe talk my son into a cow elk ta.
Good luck to all!

For cows, take a look at unit 49. They have 3 cow hunts and they upped the tags from 125/hunt to 200. 600 total tags. Apparently the last 2 mild winters has really brought the herd along.

Good luck to all! I got to hunt both bucks and bulls in that part of the state last year. Very fun country to hunt. Good luck!

49 has a LOT of elk. With controlled hunts, the real hunt is for the tag. If you can score that, the actual hunt is just gravy.

I'm in for Cali Bighorns
May grab a whitetail general tag if I tag out with deer and elk in Montana early.
December and January always finds me chasing pheasant and chucker around Burley/Twin Falls.

I'm in for moose. I'm up in the Wallace area and elk hunting is literally from my doorstep. Just don't need to go far to be into them.

oldpinecricker - I grew up in Wallace and did allot of hunting in that area. Moved to Montana so really had no reason to go back to Idaho to hunt. Haven't hunted that country for over 20 years but still have allot of good memories. Tough country but fantastic hunting.

Hows the wolves on that side of the hill? I'm in St. Maries, and they got the Joe elk all eaten off. Hunted moose up in Unit 7 last year, very few elk sightings while we were up there. For my hunting, Unit 5 and 6. That's what I know. Might yet put in for Unit 40 buck, horrible odds but its a good one if you get it.

Good luck on the draw too. 58-1 has a 10% chance of drawing for NR and 57% hunter success rate. 60-2 has 2% chance of drawing for NR and 55% hunter success rate. I hope I draw something... Its been 9 yrs since I hunted Elk.

Was recently in unit 7 and saw lots of elk. Perhaps its right place at right time. But as late I've seen fewer moose than usual.
