My partners and I have been hunting this for years with great success and the drawing odds are about the best in the state at 60% plus. They have 3 cow hunts and they upped the tags from 125/hunt to 200. 600 total tags. Moved to Montana so really had no reason to go back to Idaho to hunt. Haven't hunted that country for over 20 years but still have allot of good memories. Tough country but fantastic hunting.

Hows the wolves on that side of the hill? I'm in St. Maries, and they got the Joe elk all eaten off. Hunted moose up in Unit 7 last year, very few elk sightings while we were up there. For my hunting, Unit 5 and 6. That's what I know. Might yet put in for Unit 40 buck, horrible odds but its a good one if you get it.
