There is a great article about Wally Johnson's .375 H&H M70 in the current issue of Sports Afield, complete with pictures. That thing has been well-used. No safe queen there! Anyone want to post a pic of your own favorite well-used rifle?

Nice! Details? Looks like a Zastava M98 action.

Its a cobbled Interarms Mark X....

Shortened the for end and gave it an ebony tip, recheckered to match factory pattern, rasped down the buttstock and cheekpiece, and gave it a shadow line, installed english red pad.
Leupold 1x4 scope.

I set the scope on 2.5, didn't tell her you could do anything else with it, and lo, she managed to kill more game than rinderpest with it, while big burley men need magnum whiz bangs with 4.5x14 scopes....

Blasphemy of course, but my 300 Weatherby is my "gotoer" rifle. Over a dozen African species, black bear, countless hogs & whitetail:

The Swaro glass and Randall knife go a long way towards off-setting the negativity of the Weatherby....

Zeiss glass too, Chui! smile
Mike: Purchased in 1998, one of the first US made after they left Japan. Very accurate.

Cool. The stock design and vent recoil pad fooled me.

Jorge, all kidding aside, if thats one of the first US made guns after Japan, and it works well...you won the lottery. Our luck in the gun biz was always with the Japanese guns.
I like the lack of lustre on your stock,or is it just the camera angle?
