One of the Talos, I think. Slightly used, but nice shape, no takedown mark. The trigger I believe as been changed out, and a trigger job done on it as the trigger is very crisp.

Very nice. The two-tone look is a cool touch. I agree that the trigger has likely been switched out as all the Colt LW's I've seen recently, with the exception of the Wiley Clapp models, have had three-hole ventilated triggers.

The trigger looks like one of the originals...there were two different ones during their manufacture... Mine originally had a solid black one like this one...

I changed out my grips to smooth ebony so the gun would feel like all the rest I have... Three of the four narrow grip screw bushings came out easy...one was...tough.... It did finally come out but have the correct tool or a really good screw driver.

I also have a pile of 124gr Speer Gold Dot bullets, and those will be good for it as well.

Thanks CT, it has quickly become my favorite carry piece, so damn light and concealable, also, the 125 gr Barnes flying chainsaws at 1350 can't be a weak link in the SD field.

I agree completely. The Super 38 has been around for a long time, just lurking, only really being appreciated by folks who can see the light.

It's sorta like good scotch. It isn't to everyone's taste, but there is no doubt that it is quality stuff.

A lightweight Commander has always been one of my favorite CCW pistols. All of mine are in 45acp. But y'all sure are causing me to want a new one in 38 Super.

Came close on one last weekend...

Gave my last 9mm [P239] away after I played with this LWC in 38 Super for a few weeks.

Wow. It would be interesting to mess around with one at the 100 yardline for awhile.

I'm guessing you don't have to raise much front sight at that distance.

I managed 70 rounds with it today, and it ran perfectly well with no failures. A very soft shooter, even with full house Cor-bon 125gr +P. At least as accurate as I am - I am quite happy with it.

You should be. Sounds like you got a nice pistol in a very classy cartridge.

Can't remember if my GM was sighted in for 25 or 50 at the time, but using some 1300 fps reloads, if you balanced the head of a silhouette target on the front sight all the rounds were in the upper chest. One group I had 9/10 rounds in the A zone of one of the square scoring IPSC targets. The one that missed was st 9:00 o'clock 1/2" out...

If I was just getting into Supers and didn't reload I'd probably buy a case of this ammo...and then if I wasn't going to get into reloading sell all the empties...

A 124 grain bullet traveling 1411 fps with a 6" barrel is interesting territory. As in, 357 magnum territory. Which is nothing to sneeze at.
