Recently bought an MGM .300 Blackout barrel from classifieds. The owner said a Super 14 forearm was what's needed, but couldn't part with his.

So after looking around ordered a 7638 rynite off Amazon because it was for "12-in. Hunter and all 14-in. Barrels."

It came in and the screw holes were 3-1/16 in. apart on the forearm , but the female ends on bbl were 3-9/16 in. apart!

Called Woodbury Outfitters (Amazon linked source) up Saturday to ask the proper number and got put off as their person who handled Amazon sales wasn't in.

She didn't know what would fit a Super 14, found a number whose description matched that of the rynite forearm that didn't fit but was in Walnut.

So do any of you Contender aficionados have a rock solid SKU for a Synthetic Super 14 forearm?

The part number I found on this page http://www.eabco.com/tcpage.html lists as 7629.

The Super 14 and carbine stocks should be identical. The Super 14 is distinct from a 14" bbl.

TC factory pistol Lug spacing on 14" barrels is 3-1/4", as factory issued.

TC factory Carbine (rifle) lug spacing is 3-9/16".

Quite a few custom barrels are floating around that use either (and sometimes neither), but if you are wanting a factory forend to fit the longer, you will need the carbine forend....NOT the super 14.

There is no distinction between the 14"/super14, all use the pistol lug spacing, unless special ordered/custom built; such as some by the TC custom shop on special request. A few carbine barrels were built using pistol lug spacing at the request of the TC Collectors Association.

i snapped a pic below of the lug setup used mostly on carbines:

As measured from the rear of the barrel lug, first lug is usually set at 3.5" from lug face, and the frontmost lug is at 7-1/16"...

make sure your lugs are spaced as below, if so the rifle/carbine forend should work.

Both of my Super 14's have carbine stock spacing. They are both customs though, not T/C. I was told exactly what I said above.
