Not sure if this is the right place but trying to buy some Hornaday 139 grain sst ammo if the price is good the shipping is horrible. This is just the opposite if the shipping is good and the price is bad. Anybody know a vendor where both are good? Normally buy from Selway but they are out and Daughter wants to wack a pig. Any help in steering me in the right direction would be appreciated.

Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.
When your ship comes in. ... make sure you are willing to unload it.
PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

Here you go: http://www.midwayusa.com/find?sortb...4846306&newcategorydimensionid=15891I'd recommend the Whitetail though. The bullet will tear up less meat than the SST and it's cheaper.

I've been buying all of mine at Sportsman's Guide. I believe it is 19.79 for the American Whitetail. If you join their buyers club you can usually get free shipping a couple of times a month and the ammo is 1.00 cheaper a box.

I shoot the Whitetail in mine as it is deadly accurate and 5 shot groups under a minute but Daughter Sanndi shoots a Tikka compact which is also deadly accurate but has a 20 inch barrel. She does lose some velocity with that barrel so just for the heck of it we thought we would try the sst as is a little faster. Besides that we have fun shooting them.

The deer and other critters will never notice the difference in speed.

Grafs shipping is $7.95 with a minimum order of $40 I think. Not a great deal for small orders, but okay if you load up a bit. They're not the quickest to ship, but IME, faster than SG.
Generally, I check a couple of places, calculate the shipping, and then divide to get the per each price of whatever I want. Except for clearance stuff, the difference is usually pretty small between Midway and Grafs.
What fresh Hell is this?

What's wrong with stopping by Walmart and picking up a couple of boxes?

Not in California either. If they have a Cabelas around there I would check them out. I see plenty of it at the one around St. Louis. I will also say midwayusa carries the Prvi Partizan at under 20.00 a box from time to time and it shoots well. But depending on your use needs, it may not be tough enough I guess.
