Wonder how they are holding up after people have USED ( not just owned then) for a year or two.

What can I say - they do. As do the 6x30, which are my daily use.

If you know anything about me, my Dad always used to say, that not only could, but would break an anvil, they hold up.

And I much prefer the 6x.

I've been using the 6x30 for about 8 years. Didn't like the 8x version much.

Mine is a 6x as well, and while far from my only binocular gets used some. I first remember taking it on a hunt in 2009 for an Alaskan grizzly, and most recently packed it to Kentucky last month when hunting turkeys. It still works.

Been using both 8x30 and 6x30 for a couple years. Nothing but good here. I think I am the only person that prefers the 8.

I too much prefer the 6X. I keep pair under the seat of my Jeep. I'm sure they get beat up a lot just riding there. Have had them for several years and I don't feel real handicapped using them. I have better binoculars, but won't leave them under the seat of the Jeep.

I keep mine in my vehicle. So it's pretty much bullet proof

I just got, as in yesterday, the 6x30s.

My daughter will be turning 12 this summer and hunting big game for the first time this fall. I figured they'd be great for her to use.

I just got them out 5 minutes ago and I'm pretty impressed. Looking over the sheep and the bulls in the evening light. I may have to get another pair.

We keep a pair of these at the farm as loaners or just laying around if you see something outside. Suprisingly decent binoculars for the money. They've held up well seeing how much they've been used.

I've got the 10x version and love them for bowhunting and turkey hunting. Small enough to stay out of the way but really nice glass for $100 binoculars.

Thanks for all the replies- I should have sent mine back in under warranty because I apparently got a fluke pair, which can happen with anything- Oh, well, no big deal.

I've got the 6x30s as well. Perfect for the woods and if I drop them on a rock or leave them in my stand, no biggie. I only paid $80 for them.

They have a little fuzz on the edges, but as I usually use them to look at stuff, not for stuff, it's okay.

I sent a 6x30 in due to developing a loose hinge and not being able to move the focus wheel when it got too cold for the grease. They replaced it with a new one.

Apparently, I just got a bad pair- It can happen with any manufactured product. At the time I got them, I was pretty busy and didn't take the time to send them back in. I am sure Leupold would have made it right.
I just was curious if mine were the exception, or the rule. Obviously, mine were the exception.

I sent in a pair of 6x30s last week. Eye cup came off and ball bearings underneath were all rusty and some missing. Also had sand in the focus wheel. This week Leupold sent me a new pair. Cannot complain.

They probably would make it right if you sent them in now....

I have had the 6x30's for around 6 years. They get used and bumped around quite a bit for backpacking, hunting, fishing and crabbing and haven't quit yet.

Mine are doing great. Midway has them on sale and free shipping. Steal of a deal right now.

Well, mine are at least four years old and have spent many days around my neck (tucked inside my coat) while deer and turkey hunting. Spent most of those years bouncing around in the back of my truck cab when I wasn't using them, too.

Love 'em just as much as the first time I took them out. Plenty clear enough, light/small enough not to be a PITA to tote and far handier than something that cost about a hundred bux has any right to be?

So yeah, pretty fond of them.

Got my 8x at Big R for about $75 several years ago, Work just fine and as they were (reportedly) made for birding are fairly narrow, fitting my face just right.-Muddy
