I see the addiction is spreading. The only downside to one of those is the cleaning up part. They will throw a 180grain ball past 1000fps and are minute of beercan to 25yards or so. And, one can buy that conversion device to change them to 45colt if one was so interested. Talk to crossfireops, and that 400grain 45/70 pill that will work in one of these.

The cleaning up part...
Yeah, I was holding out for a stainless Ruger for ease of cleaning
and then this one came my way after helping some friends out.
Besides, cleaning and admiring these tools is another part of the hobby.

Though it would be kinda neat if an Old Army could accept a Bisley grip...

Though it would be kinda neat if an Old Army could accept a Bisley grip... It can. David Clements has made Old Army Bisley hammers in the past and his new model to old model frame conversion parts allow the use of a Bisley frame on an Old Army. Get ready to spend some real dough to make it happen, though.

I kind of have a knife addiction, that started prior to the firearms addiction. Sadly, while i have many knives i do not have a randall. First thing i spotted in the picture. After colorado shoots his, curious to hear the story. I have tried mine with the pellets and a couple of kinds of caps, and sometimes it don't wanna work. Been told to use real black powder, and this wouldn't happen. They are kind of easy to clean in one way. I take the grips off and throw everything into the bathroom sink with hot water and soap. Done when the wife is not around. I take the nipples out too. Dried then oiled. I have also been told to replace the ruger nipples with aftermarket and that is suppose to help too.

Hey Ron, the shop the Old Army came from had a few Randalls in the case a few weeks ago. I will let you know if they have any left.

I've had this old unknown-pedigree 1860 around for about six months. It's taken some work getting it's kinks ironed out and the hammer notch filed to zero. It is stone reliable now and I have grown pretty fond of it. Two shots each from 10,15 and 25 yards, all one handed. Two shots each from 10,15 and 25 yards, all one handed. Raumas, I love this old gun. It is probably my favorite handgun to shoot and it has been downright therapeutic in getting my accuracy back using only my rebuilt right arm & shoulder. It is stone reliable now and I wouldn't be a bit afraid to carry it. It'd warm my heart to face-shoot a terrorist with it [/quote]
