I need to install a pad on a stock. The dimensions of the stock require a small size pad and I want to increase LOP as much as possible using no spacers. Are there any of the small size pads that look like the Pach Old English that don't have steel inserts in them? The stock is narrow enough that you will grind into the insert when fitting. I'd like to use a 1.5" pad if possible.

They have 3 different sizes of pads i think.
If you need 11/2 inches you might need to make some spacers to make up that much. I have done it with cut offs from other stocks that were sitting in the scrap bin.

Get a Silvers from CSMC. They make a 1.5" and don't have metal in them. Not real soft but they look a lot better than a Pachmyer magnum trap 1.5".

You might check Kick-Eez as they make a great pad and it does not have a metal insert.

There is a fairly new company called Mico-cell. I have their 1.26" model on a 7lb 13 oz rifle using over 100 grains of powder. It is like a pussy cat on my shoulder. It weighs 2.9 oz.
