I am puting the finishing touches on my semi custom 223 AI that I have been putting together over the past year now. Its time for me to start thinking about the reloading portion of this thing now so I am looking for some advice on which powder to try first. I completely understand that every gun is different and not all powders are the same but, I am looking for a good educated place to start with. I have a 223 AI chambered 22 inch CBI 1:8 twist barrel. I am planning on trying to run the barnes 62 gr ttsx bullets out of it. I am wanting to use this rifle for coyotes and doe. With the barnes bullets being solid copper bullets I am looking for as much speed as I can get with good accuracy and stay within safe limits of the rifle. Typically I don't care about speed but, the barnes solids coppers from what I have read do require a little more velocity to open up properly on animals.

As long as you aren't shooting a pile of bullets on top of each other H335 is your huckleberry.

And if you are, Dyna Bore Coat is your huckleberry.
Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

I've been using H335 and 75 AMAX bullets with good results out of my AI. Getting 3100 fps out of my 20" Remington 1:9 twist.
