Selling for a friend his Marlin 1894 Classic 25-20 and 600 rds. of factory ammunition, (300 rds. Remington 86 gr. jacketed soft nose & 300 rds. Winchester 86 gr. jacketed soft nose) plus a few loose rds.-10 or so-and an equal number of empty cases from a hunting coat pocket. Asking $1550.00 shipped and insured.


He acquired the rifle new in '88 or '89 and installed the Williams receiver sight. My serial number research indicates it was manufactured in 1988. The round count is less than 100.[/URL]



It has been used to hunt squirrels and coyotes and shows light edge wear in the bluing along the sharp edges of the metal. There is slight bluing loss at the muzzle and on the lever just below the trigger. A small ding is visible just forward of the "JM" stamp. The metal is otherwise unblemished, including underneath the wood, with no rust.


The wood is well inletted and there is a small ding on the left buttstock just behind the receiver; there are no other imperfections in the wood.

The bore, cleaned from the breech only, is perfect. Factory brass screws secure the buttplate.
