Maybe he went to Arlington to pay his respects to Gen. Lee.
It's ironic that the Fed Govt, after the Civil War, took the General's plantation and turned it into a cemetery.
What they meant for bad turned out for good, as that place is now one of the most esteemed and cherished pieces of land in the country.

Him even being on the hallowed ground of Arlington is about the biggest disrespect of fallen heroes he could show.
For him, it's nothing more than political grandstanding. To the citizens of our Republic that know him for what he is, it is a huge show of contempt.
I believe he means it as contempt as well.
