Yondering Campfire Tracker Y Joined: Oct 2014 Posts: 4,755 Skagit County, WA	Just a tip - if you're working up loads and pushing the limits, remove the magazine before shooting. A case blowing out into the empty mag well still stings, but is generally harmless, because it can vent freely.

Got it torn down, and no cracks that I can see in the frame, but I guess I should send it in. I have never gotten a bulge in the brass. Probably a good idea to get some 45 Super brass, or at least something a little heavier like milsurp, or Starline.

Have a catastrophic brass failure like that in a 1911 or BHP and see what the results are. They'll be a lot more destructive to the pistol and the shooter than that one was.
