I told you filling them to the top with Blue Dot would be too warm.

Little bit of meat gone, some black and blue, but I've done worse.

Ouch! glad you're not hurt too bad.

Is that a 45 ACP?

Just a tip - if you're working up loads and pushing the limits, remove the magazine before shooting. A case blowing out into the empty mag well still stings, but is generally harmless, because it can vent freely.

G36.. .45 ACP, top end reload, but not ridiculous.. Have shot that recipe many times.

Got it torn down, and no cracks that I can see in the frame, but I guess I should send it in.

I only use military 45 brass, but my reloads are calc'd right at 21K psi. I have never gotten a bulge in the brass.

Probably a good idea to get some 45 Super brass, or at least something a little heavier like milsurp, or Starline.

Send it in. They'll take care of it.

Likely a weak spot in the brass.

Last round in the magazine, or next to last?

Had that case been fired multiple times in glocks?

first in line, primer looks fine. Win brasss. 230 GD over 7.2 grs PP.

First one up eliminates bullet slippage back into the case. Weak spot in the brass over the unsupported area of the chamber. That's my guess. Likely a hairline crack in the brass. Ouch.

Just sayin' you're FOS. The "plastic" parts have nothing to do with an unsupported chamber or brass failure. Have a catastrophic brass failure like that in a 1911 or BHP and see what the results are. They'll be a lot more destructive to the pistol and the shooter than that one was.
