Anyone ever done a trigger job on their 336? mine is pretty stout. I looked at the "old west trigger" but for over $100 I didn't know if there were any other things I can do like polish...?

My vote is for the WW trigger as well. In my SS guide gun I got under 1.5 pound no creep trigger, better than any factory bolt action I've owned and on par with any tuned factory 700 trigger I've handled.
When I sold the gun I kept the trigger. Should say something or other. (I don't mean being stupid about selling the gun though that might be true, too. Sub .75 MOA lever actions don't come around every day.)

I've done this on my Marlins and it works great. My Marlin 1895SS in 45/70 had a less than desirable trigger pull. I ordered and installed a WW trigger and was well pleased with the result. I also have a 336SC in .35 Remington that I purchased in 1952. After 63 years the trigger didn't need any work. A few years back I purchased a 1894C in .357 Magnum which need trigger work. I followed the instructions from Marlinowners and ended up with a great trigger pull. It took a little time but I am happy with the results and saved a couple of bucks also.
