Has anyone fit a Mod7 barreled action into a 700 SA stock? I don't care if the bottom metal fits, I'm going to convert to single shot and will make a trigger guard. I'm just wondering how the holes line up and how much epoxy or filler blocks it might take. Laminated stock, so it will end up with a paint job. Function and economy over good looks. I have parts at home I could compare but won't have access for several days and wanted to address the question of how difficult it would be.

The bolt holes will not line up. The recoil lug will be in a different spot as well. I'm sure it could be done if one had a bunch of time, know how and epoxy...

Well, I fit an old Savage 10FP two screw action into a Savage Palma target action stock and you couldn't tell they were not a drop in unless you looked close. That required new holes and pillars in the stock and a new 1/4-28 threaded hole in the action. I'm comfortable modifying, just curious how much work would be required or if anyone had done it.
