Anybody use them. I'm a shimano fan but the magnesium reels are so high. I know the presidents are really good especially for the money but was wondering about the high end pfluegers. The 25 series only weighs 6.6 oz. the XT only weighs 6.3. Looking for a light weight reel to put on a rod I'm building from a 3/4 weight flyrod blank.

BIL has one and really likes it. He doesn't fish a ton though. I prefer the Abu Garcia reels for their solid feel but they are heavier.

Pfluegers are solid reels, but I also prefer Abu Garcia or Shimano. No real reason.

I can't speak to the weight, but I'm really satisfied with a Lew's spinning reel I bought recently. I thought I'd use it as a low-end backup but it's so smooth and long-casting that I'm about to swap it to a rod that currently has a Shimano.
