Real nice, Scott. What would you call the mount pose?

Wayne,
The pose is a semi-sneak. McKenzie 6900 series - IIRC.

bluecat,
The taxidermist is local guy - NE WI. I'd call him an extreme hobbyist as taxidermy isn't his full-time gig.

I have a semi-sneak McKenzie on a nice MN 8 I got. It's my favorite pose. I got it because that's how he was when I shot him.
yours is fantastic.

Love pedestal mounts and that one as well as the deer are superb examples.

Congrats Scott!

Good timing on the post. I was about to do a search for it to take a look at the hero pics of the deer.

Thanks all.
My wife doesn't exactly share the same enthusiasm. *grins*

Wonderful, after you hunt a buck like that you've deserved being able to display it any way you want. It looks great to me on a pedestal.

I think it's an overall deer head thing - not so much the pedestal. She's cool with them on the lower level. I have little say on the main level, she has no say on the lower. grin

Awesome!!! That's a career buck over in this neck of the woods. The mount just makes it that much more special. Well done. Well done indeed.
