I want to develop a good accurate load for my Lar 15 using the Sierra 69 gr matchking, will be using this load for target shooting up to 500 yards. So far I have tried Tac and Benchmark, I am trying to get between 2750 and 2800 muzzle velocity, made it to 2690 with 23.2 gr of benchmark but ended up with cases showing signs of case head swipe. Same issue with Tac, got up to 2840 with 24.8 gr but that load has a severe case of case head swipe also, backed off to 24.2 gr but still some signs of CHS, accuracy was also poor. My local sporting goods store has some 748 and AA 2460 in stock but wonder if it's worth spending the money and end up with the same issue. None of my other loads using these powder have shown signs of CHS, any help is appreciated.

Has anyone had any luck with the 68-69's with the new fine single base powders, Benchmark, IMR8208, LT32, or H322?

You didn't use logic or reason to get into this opinion, I cannot use logic or reason to get you out of it.

Went into Reno Thursday but no one had any H 4895, took a chance and picked up a pound of Accurate 2460, keeping my fingers crossed that it gives me speed an accuracy that I am looking for.

I just tried it this weekend with XBR 8208 and a 69 SMK in my Tikka 1/10 twist .223. 23.2 gr seems to be a good load for this setup.

I used one of these in an early Kimber 84 and took it antelope hunting. I shot one quartering away and was able to recover the bullet. It came out looking like a classic big game bullet from an advertisement.

I shoot this bullet in my 22-250. With Varget i get 3300fps but with Superperformance i get 3500. Both have very good accuracy.3/4 inch groups or less at 200 yds.
