Hi Gents,
Just wanted to hear if there is anyone who has visited or heard anything about the Western New York Sportsmen Show, held in Buffalo, New York.
Thinking about attending the show. Heard that Jim Shockey attends the show, as well as other few celeb hunters, which I guess is a good sign.
Just wanted to know what the show's reputation was like, and if you thought it would be a good show to be at.
I'm off on my next safari until 12 June, but look forward to viewing any comments when I get back.

I only have a minute right now but I don't recall Shockey ever attending. The closet thing to a celebrity I've seen (and it ain't real close) is Pat and Nicole......don't remember their last name.

I went to the most recent show and was slightly more impressed than past years although I hadn't gone in a few years.

Marius, I'd go to DSC if I were you. It's a very friendly place for attendees and exhibitors as well.

Or the Harrisburg PA show.

Have you done other shows in the States??

I hosted Marius and Kim here in January for the Southeast Expo Sportsman Show in conjunction with the SCI Banquet. We had a booth across from Craig Boddington!! That was the highlight.

Not alot of people, not well advertised and promoted,

I think Marius is looking to get the most bang for his buck, and I think the Toronto show was much better for him, business wise.

You also Marius, if you do decide to do the show in Buffalo I'd like to meet you. Larry

JG, the DSC show is too early for me. I can't be in the USA from Jan - end March. Will think about it though. Not sure if two trips over will be wise.

Larry, Harrisburg won't take ANY more African outfitters. Apparently they have a 3 years waiting list. As a matter of fact, they told us that they were thinking of cutting a few. So, would love to be at Harrisburg, but, don't think it will happen soon.

Marius The hunts you sell would appeal to the hunters that go to that show. Buffalo is a pretty big town.

10 days at Harrisburg can be a looooong time to sit there.

I see the 10th is on the Thu. Would probably make more sense to meet on Friday 11th.
Anyways, a couple of hours out until I start the journey.

Got a chance to meet Marius & his wife last night at the sportsman's show, they seemed like very nice people!

A friend of mine was coming into town to exchange info with Marius in advance of an upcoming hunt they'll be sharing. I have a strong suspicion it'll be a success!

Thanks for stopping by. Just got to Toronto, and the booth is all set up. Been a hectic couple of days but we're ready to start it all over again, come tomorrow.
We'll be back in Buffalo in 2017. Booth booked.

Hope schedules coordinate next year Marius,I was popping pigs in Texas with the campfire gang this time

Did you get a chance to hunt coyote?

Have fun in the City, It's quite a place! Although I've only been there a few times, each trip was memorable.

Well, hunting pigs is as good an excuse as any. We'll be back there in 2017. Deposit already been paid.

Got in the blind at about 17:00 and sat until just before dark. Tried calling a bit. We've been seeing a couple of photos of a coywolf hanging around there as well, which I thought was first prize. He's an absolute beast.
Nothing showed up. Will try again in 2017.
Also have to be at DSC in 2017, so looking at organizing a hunt in Texas after the show.
