I've heard that they are making this bullet this year, anyone seen any of them yet?

I want to give some a run in my 338/06.

Thanks for your time

I just seen them a few days ago Mark, they will have a .414 BC. I was talking to some of the Nosler guys at their booth at the Portland Sportsmans Show.
They also said they would be coming out with a 35 caliber
Accu Bond as well. That this one would be ahead of the already announced 6.5 Accubond.
They didnt know what weights they would be produced in.

As a side note, I thought it interesting that Nosler will be making 6.5x284 brass and 280 AI brass along with 300 RUM
brass.

Hey SU35 thanks I'll have to call Nozler Monday and see if they've sent any out yet.

I kind of thin that head is gonna rock in my 338/06! And spring bruin in only about 68 days away from opener.

Mark,

A 200 gr AB should be just the ticket for bear in yoour 338/06.
I am under the impression that Nosler would have these bullets available in April '06 but I may be mistaken.
Please post any details that you find and I will do the same. I want to try the 200 gr AB in my 338 RUM, should be a flatliner!

Mark, I used the 200gr Nos BT in my 338-06AI in Africa in 04. Took 8 animals from antelope to zebra including Kudu and only recovered 1 bullet from the 8. The bullet came from the kudu and was a text book mushroom. The Accubond will just be more of the same.

Do you Guy's think the 200gr. Accubond has any thing over the 210 Partition?
Iam also having a 338-06 built. It should be done soon. Iwas thinking about using it this Fall on a Moose hunt.
I will be hunting Moose in B.C. So if you Guy's have any load ideas for me I would like to hear them.
Thanks Randy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Hammerdown,

I discussed this very subject with Mike Harris of Nosler. I am told that the 200 gr AB will penetrate the same as the 210 gr PT. If this is true, the 200 gr AB would be one heck of a bullet. The 210 gr PT is famous for penetration, and performance all out of perportion when compared to others.
I have used the 210 gr PT on Elk, Mule Deer, and Black Bear with DRT results.

Mark I've been loading the 180gr AccuBond in my 338-06 for whitetails and hogs and was going to load the 200gr Ballistic Tip for elk.The 180 has the edge in velocity but this bullet may become the best of both worlds as far as velovity/penetration/killing power. If it will penetrate as deep as the 210Pt. then there will be no flies on it's ability.

I defiantely want to give the 200 Accu a go, it will have to really rock to upserp the 210 TX.

I am about totally enamored with the TX line but do have an interest in trying the 200 Accu. I spoke with Nozler boyz a week ago and they said most likely about 2 months for till I see the bullets.

I've got spring bruin hunting getting a going on April 15 so the Accu's may have to wait till Sept.

Mark the 180's have shot good with several different powders so a short load workup should be easy. What powder and velocity are you getting out of the 210TSX'S?RL15,4064,VVN550,or H4350 ahould work just fine w/the 200AB. POWDR
