I could really use some quick load info for 222 remington

bullets are the 45 grain tsx, the 50 grain ttsx, and the 53 grain tsx. I am leaning towards the 45 grain bullet but am still thinking about the others.

what are the powders that look best...

thanks
drew

some of the bullet manufacturers will send you quick load for their products. I'm not ashamed to ask for it.

H322 would be a good candidate. It consistently placed high for all three weights in the list of recommendations when I queried for powders.

Or ask someone who has QL.

Wait, that's what you did.

Try some H335.

222 Remington. Hodgdon site. Nosler #6 and Sierras latest are right with it too.

45 GR. SPR SP Hodgdon H335 .224" 2.130" 21.5 2962 36,500 CUP 24.0 3252 46,200 CUP

45 GR. SPR SP IMR IMR 4198 .224" 2.130" 17.8 3083 40,600 PSI 19.8 3311 47,600 PSI

53 GR. HDY HP Hodgdon H335 .224" 2.140" 20.5 2748 35,900 CUP 23.0 3006 46,000 CUP

53 GR. HDY HP IMR IMR 4895 .224" 2.140" 21.0 2684 34,400 PSI 23.5C 3051 48,200 PSI

Isnt it amazing that the powder charges for these 45 and 53 gr bullets are so close to the quickload figures for the TSX? Hmmm strange isnt it.

Gotcha.. I have an old hodgdon manual that lists h4198 and imr 4198 as being a good powder for the 45 grain bullets.

The new hodgon site says that you can go to 3200 with the cfe 223 powder and a 53 grain bullet. Do you think that the tsx could also be pushed that fast or would the long length tsx build pressure really quickly in that small case.

I haven't seen any quick load figures so I can't really tell you how close they are.
