I am about to start loading for my 257 weatherby mag. I have a vanguard series 2 RC, with a 24" barrel. I will be using 90 gr blitz kings, and I have a choice between three powders I have a decent stockpile of; 7828 ssc, Reloader 25, and Ramshot magnum powder. Which of the three would you chose and why.

Not reloader, because I have never liked how fickle those powders are. I uke that Ramshot gives BR variance, AND lists VMD's on thirst powders; finally a company is coming along.

If you want a "which one is best" answer, you should know by now that there is no spoon...

When I was shooting a .257 Wby, I got my best results, both velocity and accuracy, from 7828.

7828 or Magnum is what I'd try personally

I realize that everyone will have a different answer, but I still am curious none the less. Thanks for the thoughts so far.

My rifle likes IMR-7828. I have some Magnum that I've tried that is showing promise as well. My gun likes the 110 and 115 gr bullets the best (Accubond, Ballistic Tip and TSX.)
