Speer 7mm145gr Hot cor. From 7mm/08 recovered from whitetail. Hard quartering towards shot. Bullet broke left front leg went thru heart. Was recovered aginst hide in right hip. 80% weight retention[Linked Image]

Nice, I am going to get a 7-08 some day. Too bad the hot cores are going to be getting phased out.

I've used them in a 7x57 a fair amount. The pic is the first time I have seen one recovered. Always wondered what they looked like after going through a whitetail.

I shoot the 130g Speer bTSP with 43g of IMR 4895 with a 9 1/2 bullet barely off the lands, tiny groups in my Rem 700, and flops deer.

I bet the 145g would be great, what's your load?

i have two go to powders, IMR 4350 and Varget. Fed 210M primers. I'll check the charge weight when I get home, can't remember off-hand.
