I like to develop a good load for my rifle and shoot groups. I got them down to 3/4" or a little better at 100 yards using a Weaver 3-9. Thought more magnifaction and finer hairs may help tighten it up. Bought a Weaver 6-24 with the varmint hairs. Now I can see much better. I can see that I am wavering around a bit on the bull. Would like to adjust my trigger lighter but don't know if it is adjustable. Can't find anything on the internet. Does anyone have an old manual or know?? I hate to take it off of the stock to find out if I don't have to.

I had a 22-250 LSA 55 Deluxe years ago. There was a screw in the front of the trigger guard that adjusted the trigger, it was easy and positive...

Just took the gun up to my gunsmith to help me reset the trigger and he said that is not the adjustment screw. Has something to do with the clip tension. Will let you know if I find out anything else.

Just talked to a gunsmith in Canada that worked for Ithaca when they imported rifles. Ithaca gave me his name and said he knows more about the LSA-55 than anyone. Said the trigger is adjustable but you have to take off the stock and should be done by a good gunsmith as it is a bit tricky.

Check this out, it has diagrams and descriptions...

Bolt Action Rifles Expended - 4th Edition - Page 297 - Google Books Resultbooks.google.com/books?isbn=1440226350
Wayne Zwoll - 2011 - Antiques & Collectibles
But the Ithaca rifle that interested me most was the LSA-55, a centerfire bolt ... The pistol grip is well curved and placed in relationship to the trigger, and sized for ...

That is the deluxe. I didn't like the original finish/checkering on mine. I took the finish off, and had Steve Billeb re-checker it. I put the final finish on it, it was extremely hard to get any finish to stick to the Rose-wood tip, other than that it turned into a great looking rifle. It was a great shooting rifle too...

The original finish on mine got all cracked and terrible looking. I was always going to strip it and redo it. Then it got stolen along with some other guns. A month or so later they caught the guy and traced back the guns. This one was at a gun dealer. He had stripped it and it was ready for the final finish. He was pissed that he had to give it back and no charge for the refinishing. That is what happens when you buy a stolen gun!!
