can get my hands on a double barrel 12 gauge shotgun with the only indications on it is "C.W. Abbott Fine twist". Anyone got any info on that shotgun?? Wish I could put pict. but got none, sry!

Fine twist is almost certainly just a reference to the way the barrels are made... twist Damascus is generally considered the least strong barrel design out there, not that it would not be fine with low pressure shells or BP. Not real familiar with CW Abbott.

Can't reach the seller for some pictures but will try to get some soon. Seems to be good for a wall hanger only......

Why do you say that? Is it in bad shape? I would shoot a twist as long as it was looked at by a compatent shotgun smith.

The gun is sold....To answer your question, it didn't seem to be in very good shape, i certainly would have made it looked at...still wondering where it comes from...
