OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahomans who obtain a concealed carry permit would be allowed to carry their firearms openly under a bill that has passed the Oklahoma House.
The measure passed Wednesday on an 85-9 vote and now heads to a Senate committee for a hearing. The bill is expected to be approved in the Senate and signed by Gov. Mary Fallin, who has said she supports a responsible open carry bill.
The Legislature approved an open carry bill two years ago, but it was vetoed by former Democratic Gov. Brad Henry.
